Introducing the Habitat Card Recycling Program!

Got a little left on your Habitat card? Drop it in one of the donation boxes around campus and help an RRU student in critical need.

The Student Services Financial Aid & Awards team is combining the small sums left on Habitat cards into more meaningful amounts—enough to buy a struggling student breakfast, for example.

The Habitat Card Recycling Program is an extension of the RRU Food Bank located in the Grant building. The Food Bank is a valuable resource for students and staff members who need just a little helping hand during really tough times.

Donation boxes for the Habitat Card Recycling Program can be found in these locations around campus:
  • Habitat Cafe
  • Student Services (Grant 130)
  • Campus Reception (LIC)
  • Rec Centre front desk
  • Library front desk
  • Campus Security (Millward)
  • Finance (Castle 215)
  • Registrar (Mews 201)
  • International Programs office (castle 4th floor)
  • In classroom on last day of residency (select programs)
If you'd like to make a cash or non-perishable food donation to the RRU Food Bank we’d be very pleased to accept it at Student Services in Grant 130.

Members of the RRU community who are struggling to make ends meet are welcome to use the food bank, no questions asked. The key can be picked up at Student Services in Grant 130 Mon-Fri 8:30-4:30.
