Self-care includes any intentional actions you take care of all aspects of your wellness. Wellness typically encompasses at least seven different dimensions, including academic, social/cultural, environmental, mental, physical, spiritual and financial.

It is a false assumption that all Indigenous students (First Nations, Métis, and Inuit) automatically receive educational funding for post-secondary studies through their bands or affiliates

For the purpose of this blog, I will provide general information about educational funding opportunities that may be available to eligible Indigenous students.

Reflections of a Student Counsellor: Insights and guidance after my year @ RRU


As my 12 month term position ends and we approach Bell Let’s Talk Day on January 29th, I find myself reflecting on some of the common challenges that students shared in my counselling office this year, as well as the many success stories I’ll fondly recall and take with me for years to come.
